(MAFI) to organise the 42nd National Masters Athletics Championship in
Chennai, Tamilnadu with the support of the Tamilnadu Masters Athletics Association,
adapting the new normal, reviving back to normal form the multifaceted and
unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic., building immunity,
resilience and redefining sport through advocacy with a positive approach to
reopening, recovery, resilience and transformation in a collaborative way,
ensuring that the world of sport and the Masters Movement continues to make
its viral and valued contributions to building a better future for all. The 42nd National Masters Athletics Championship 2022 is the largest
athletic competition with more than 3500 athletes competing from across 26
States in India, with a total of 22 Athletic disciplines across 13 age
categories that would be conducted from the 27th of April to 1st of May 2022 The Opening Ceremony of the 42nd National Masters Athletics
Championship is Inaugurated by Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, Actor, Producer and
Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni
constituency. Thiru Ma.Subramanian Minister for Health & Family Welfare Thiru Siva. V. Meyyanathan Minister for Environment - Climate Change and Youth Welfare and Sports
