Perhaps,
the time is right for newbie filmmakers to score successfully in their maiden
outings in filmmakers and in that connect, Mano Ve. Kannadasan has emerged triumphant,
so to say!
He
has woven a complex tale in a very neat manner without leaving the audience
perplexed while retaining the suspense element in a tight manner!
Rajesh
Balachandran playing Inspector Kumar is not the usual kind of daring cop who
involves himself in dare-devil activities in pure cinematic fashion!
He
is down to earth in his approach to the aspect of depicting the character in a
realistic manner without much ado! A natural talent to watch out for!
The
same cannot be said of Amrudha Srinivasan who plays Iyal an author who likes to
experiment the content before she takes up her pen. Such a character demands
the oomph element which she appears to be not cut out for!
But
yet, her characterization is brilliant and the director deserves full credit
for it.
The
music of Jones Rubert is a fine point of the film, especially the background
score.
Praveen
Balu’s camera work too warrants mention.
The
intricacies of the plot have been well conceived and crafted by the maker and
have been presented tactfully.
The
climax portions give a totally unexpected twist to the tale much to the
consternation of the viewers!
