The
powerful dialogue of G.J.Kannan is quite impressive in this cop tale in which
Prabhu Deva plays the protagonist. Sample this-do cops work for their
department or for the people? The film’s protagonist poses this question at an
undercover cop! Good riddle!
Finally,
towards the end, the protagonist delivers the answer too-it all depends one’s
conscience says in a particular situation; simply go with it, he says!
The
screenplay is neatly woven with a lot of thrills and frills and the plot is set
around a couple of murders as a former cop is recalled to duty following his
resignation some time earlier owing to specific reasons!
He
is, Pon. Manickavel, a dare devil and no nonsense cop who is also an expert in
handling guns!
The
higher officials summon his services to solve the mystery behind the killings
that involve a Judge as well as a Cop.
He
is happily married to Anbarasi (Nivetha Pethuraj) and there is a romantic
number too!
How
Pon Manickavel resolves the issue is the interesting rest.
Suresh
Menon is slowly but steadily getting into the shoes of Raghuvaran in terms of
exhibiting style in stature and substance in performance.
D.Imman’s
score passes muster.
Prabhu
Deva’s dance number deserves mention.
