Cosmo Club’s Smile Stores to bring Smiles to Masses

In pursuance of Rajasthan Cosmo club’s motto
Restore Human Dignity Rajasthan Cosmo club foundation led by its 27th president
Sri Manish Chowdhari, has inaugurated their first chain of stores namely Smile
Store.

Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal said, actually
this smile store is going to provide Smiles to masses and hailed the
philanthropic work done by Rajasthan Cosmo club foundation for the last 28
years.
President Manish
Chowdhari explained how this smile store is going to
bring more smiles to people. He said this smile store will provide an extra
ordinary shopping experience to lower and lower middle class people. The
clothes sold here are randomly used and branded one , which are laundry washed
, sanitised with Nano technology ,ironed and neatly poly packed before it comes
for sale. Each clothes being tagged at Rs 20 and Rs 40 respectively.
People can see the variety and try it in the trial room before buying it.
Guest of honour
Cine actor Srikanth appreciated the social work done by
foundation and promised all his support to the organisation. Cine actress Komal Sharma heaped
all proses for club . The USP of this store will be the clothes of many leading
personalities including leading film actors and actresses will be up for sale
at same price tags, said the secretary Arvind Baheti. Managing Trustee Suresh Gundecha added
that the pandemic has put everyone on their back foot but Rajasthan Cosmo club
foundation’s energy n zeal to do something for society was never
deteriorated and they raised 60 lakhs during pandemic and spent that
money to welfare of government hospitals, providing masks to masses including
police personnels, given ambulance n PPE kits to GH and the list is endless.
Jagdish Sarda the chairman for this
project informed that RCC is going to open 5 smile stores in 6 months and this
project is supported by Abhusha
Foundation Trust and family of Sri Abhaya Kumar Srisrimal.
Vice President and
PRO Sripal Kothari shared a brief report about activities of
Rajasthan Cosmo club. He said Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation was formed and
registered in 1992 with the objective to lend a helping hand to less fortunate
people of society.
In pursuance of above objective a CLOTH BANK
was started wherein we collected the Used and New clothes from the society at
large and the same are redistributed to needy people along with distribution to
Orphanges, Distitute Homes, Leprosy Homes, Mental Hospital, Balbhavans, Old age
Homes and NGOs besides victims of natural calamities such as floods, fires,
Tsunami etc . Govt Authorities, various NGO‘s approach foundation regularly whenever
need for clothes arises.
Foundation runs 3 main types of CLOTH
Schemes.
GAJ BHAR KAPDA SCHEME
Under this scheme member’s of the
organization collect clothes from the society at large going door to door for
collection of old clothes on schedule. For convenience of the residents of that
area they are informed in advance, through proper publicity .
The collected clothes are segregated
according to size, washed, ironed and packed in poly bags under supervision of
experienced staff in our premises. The reconditioned clothes are then
redistributed to needy people. Till now we have distributed nearly 13,50,000
clothes.
NEW CLOTHES SCHEME
Under this scheme we distribute around 15000
new clothes to less fortunate people of society, which includes, blind
association of Tamilnadu, Cancer institute Guindy, Leprosy home and the list
goes on. Most of these clothes were given on festival time to make those people
feel special. So far the foundation has distributed nearly 2 lakhs clothes.
NEW SCHOOLS UNIFORM SCHEME
Under this scheme, New School Uniforms are
distributed to needy and deserving students. The uniforms are custom tailored
to each student’s specifications in our premises for the past fifteen years,
nearly 5 lakhs sets of new school Uniforms have been distributed till date. The
foundation has adopted 130 schools and provides all the students with one set
of uniforms thereby bringing smiles to 20,000 children. The schools selected
are mostly govt aided or corporation run wherein education is rendered to
lower class children at minimal fees, and wherein there is need of such
uniforms.
