B.R.Vijayalakshmi, Asia’s 1st lady cinematographer who turned a director with Paattu Padavaa (1995), a romantic drama has this time come up with a gripping film that delves into a very sensitive issue. She has in fact handled the sensitive subject with kids’ gloves without trying to sensationalise it! Being a cinematographer herself, she has ensured that the film’s cameraman, Akilan has come up with the best of frames, especially those portions shot at the Queen of Hills!

It is a daring role for Pia Bajpayee who has come up with an impressive, bold performance!

Tovino Thomas is a perfect choice for the character and he has executed himself admirably!

Rohini asserts her class while Prabhu & Suhasini create an impact as an understanding in the neighbourhood.

Abhimanyu (Tovino Thomas) who is an I.T. guy develops acquaintance with a bubbly girl named Anu (Pia Bajpayee) who soon turns into love and they go ahead and get married.

Meena (Rohini)’s mom who was not there then is taken aback by her daughter’s sudden decision but soon reconciles. Abhi’s parents who are mostly travelling, witnesses the marriage, online!

At midway, a shocking revelation comes to surface through Kamatchi (Kalairani) who is sent by Abhi’s parents to fend for Anu who is now in the family way!

The sudden development throws the life of the young couple out of gears!

The climax leaves the end in an open ended manner!

A bold attempt by a woman filmmaker!
